MiniForest LA and Seed to Landscape
Los Angeles-based organizations MiniForest LA and Seed to Landscape help schools and communities plant pocket forests adapted to the Southern California climate and native plant palette. By providing supportive resources and educational curriculums, both organizations help community stakeholders play a leadership role in improving their local ecology.
MiniForest LA is an organization of parents heavily involved in the Los Angeles Unified School District, while Seed to Landscape designed the first native micro-forest in Griffith Park in 2021. Both organisations are advocating for ecological restoration that honors the knowledge of local plants and people.
