Limbi Blessing Tata
Limbi Blessing Tata founded, in 2016, Ecological Balance Cameroon, a non-governmental organisation that seeks to balance conservation with livelihoods.
Limbi’s philosophy: conservation of natural ecosystems can only be sustainable if it is led by local people and if it contributes to their livelihoods. Many reforestation projects have since then been undertaken.
Ecological Balance has been involved in the conservation of mangrove forests along the coast of Cameroon! And in response to seasonal flooding and significant decrease in fish harvest, they built resilience to flood and they educated communities on sustainable harvesting of water resources.
