Synergy Forest
Collective rewilding in action
Cities such as London continue to grow and expand, they often result in the loss of green spaces, which can have negative effects on the environment and human well-being.
The community-based project in Battersea is leading the charge in bringing nature back into densely populated areas. By creating outdoor recreational spaces and growing their own food, the locals will take steps to enhance their environment and promote natural areas.
This project's efforts to incorporate a pocket forest highlight the possibility for cities to support biodiversity and provide natural spaces for residents to enjoy.

“Secluded amongst Battersea council blocks, we’re joining a community who are already turning grey city spaces to green. Bringing everyone together from the young to the old, taking small bites at a time to make a difference for people & planet. Whether it’s 1/2 acre garden farms atop a converted car park, or in this case taking a giant, vacant mound next to a playground, and turning it into a micro-community of plants and insects to join the neighbourhood.”

Bringing biovdiversity to Battersea
Creating a natural area with trees in densely populated areas such as Battersea is a crucial step in bringing positive spaces into urbanization. It will help to improve the quality of life for both humans and wildlife, promote biodiversity, and create a more sustainable future for our cities.
By providing a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of city life urban forests will promote mental-health.
Native species selection:
For this project we are planting 270 trees, using 22 native species of trees and shrubs
